Co-Created Content Summary

Participant-Led Strategies for Sustainable Entrepreneurship

🀝 About This Document

This document summarizes the key insights, strategies, and best practices that were "co-created" by the 16 young entrepreneurs (ages 25-40) in our Swedish and Belgian cohorts.

After completing the 12-module program, the entire group met for a final plenary session in Leuven, Belgium. The goal was to "exchange experiences on the course content and its impact on them."

This isn't our report; it's their "collective findings." Inside, you'll find the tangible, participant-led strategies they developed for building more sustainable and conscious careers.

πŸ“‹ What's Inside

🧠

On Mental Well-being

How participants reframed "discipline" as "devotion" to avoid burnout and a "10-minute rule" for handling setbacks.

πŸ’‘

On Conscious Entrepreneurship

A "Values-Check" filter for decision-making and a new definition for a "conscious leader."

πŸ“ˆ

On Employability

The top "time-blocking" tools adopted by the group and a strategy for creating a "six-month emergency fund" for the business.

🧠 Objective 1: Promoting Mental Well-being

Practical techniques for maintaining mental health while navigating entrepreneurial stress

πŸ’ On "Mastering Your Mindset"

βœ… The 10-Minute Rule for Handling Setbacks

Participants shared a powerful technique: Allow 10 minutes to feel the frustration, then spend 10 minutes listing three possible solutions.

"Several participants found 'affirmations' most effective when tied to a specific, small, daily action, rather than a large, abstract goal."

πŸ’ͺ On "Self-Discipline"

βœ… Reframe "Discipline" as "Devotion"

The group's main takeaway was to reframe "discipline" as "devotion" to the processβ€”this helped them avoid burnout by focusing on daily effort, not just the final result.

πŸ“š On "Personal Development"

"Participants from both countries reported that dedicating a scheduled hour per week to the personal development modules improved their confidence in decision-making."

πŸ’‘ Objective 2: Fostering Conscious Entrepreneurial Learning

Defining "conscious entrepreneurship" and its practical application

🎯 On "Goal Setting" and "Decision Making"

βœ… The "Values-Check" Filter

The group's co-created best practice: Before making any major business decision, ask:

"Does this align with my top 2 personal values?"

This simple question helps ensure business decisions remain authentic and sustainable, preventing burnout from pursuing paths that don't align with core beliefs.

πŸ‘₯ On "Leadership" and "Social Entrepreneurship"

βœ… Definition of a "Conscious Leader"

The group defined a "conscious leader" as one who prioritizes "team well-being" and "transparent communication" on the same level as "profitability."

"One Belgian participant presented a new business pivot for a micro-catering business to include a 'pay-it-forward' model for the local community."

πŸ“ˆ Objective 3: Strengthening Employability

Tangible techniques implemented to strengthen professional and financial standing

πŸ—£οΈ On "Communication Skills" (Swedish vs. Belgian Contexts)

πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺ Swedish Approach

Belgian participants learned from the Swedish "fika" (coffee break) culture how informal chats can build strong business trust.

πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺ Belgian Approach

Swedish participants noted the Belgian approach to networking was more direct and structured.

This cross-cultural exchange enriched both groups' understanding of different business communication styles.

⏰ On "Time Management"

βœ… Time-Blocking Strategy

The top tool adopted by the group was "time-blocking," specifically:

  • Focus blocks for deep work
  • Admin blocks for emails and administrative tasks

This technique, learned in Module 5, helped participants regain control of their schedules and reduce the feeling of constant overwhelm.

πŸ’° On "Financial Literacy"

βœ… Six-Month Business Emergency Fund

A key strategy shared was creating a separate "six-month emergency fund" for the business itself, not just for personal finances.

This was a new concept for many participants and provided a crucial safety net that reduced financial anxiety and allowed for more strategic decision-making.

🌍 Future Collaborations & Matchmaking

The co-creation session also served as a matchmaking event, fostering real business partnerships.

πŸ’Ό New Collaborations Formed

Swedish-Belgian Partnership

A new Swedish-Belgian collaboration was pitched between:

  • A Swedish participant's branding agency
  • A Belgian participant's sustainable packaging startup
Impact

This collaboration demonstrates the power of cross-national networking and shows how the EM program creates real, tangible business opportunities beyond just learning content.

🎯 Conclusion

This co-created summary proves the value of the EM program in generating tangible, participant-led strategies for building a more sustainable and conscious entrepreneurial landscape in the EU.
